A weekend training event at Craftsbury Outdoor Center in Vermont
Held Friday, July 31, through Sunday, August 2
Hosted by the Ford Sayre Nordic Club
The goal of the weekend is to bring together New England masters and seniors-age skiers to train, work on ski skills, make new friends, and have a blast.
Schedule*:
Friday, July 31st: 2pm arrival at Craftsbury Outdoor Center for an outdoor meet & greet, followed by a coached afternoon rollerski technique session on the Craftsbury Outdoor Center’s dedicated rollerski loop. Dinner at the Craftsbury dining hall followed by social hour and presentation TBD.
Saturday, August 1st: Breakfast at the Craftsbury dining hall followed by a coached morning rollerski, swapping between skate and classic technique. After lunch (at Craftsbury dining hall) the afternoon will include an instructional gym session focused on building a ski-specific strength program and include mobility, balance drills and a jump circuit. We’ll also leave time for a swim at Great Hosmer Pond, unstructured activity or relaxation. Dinner at Craftsbury dining hall.
Sunday, August 2nd: Following breakfast we will hold an informal and uncoached overdistance gravel bike ride, trail run or hike, depending on group preferences.
