  skiers flocked to Pomfret\, Vermont for many winters for a classic ski 
 race that cites historical winners since 1986. The Haydock family welcom
 ed the community to their property\, highlighting the love of classic sk
 iing in a low-key\, friendly environment.  For nearly forty years the ev
 ent persisted despite Mother Nature’s whims. \nIn 2023 the torch was pas
 sed from the Haydock’s to the awesome folks at the Rikert Outdoor Center
  with the goal of preserving the nature of this race.  And so the event 
 goes on — and is a favorite for old school skiers and up and coming ripp
 ers alike. \nThe Bogburn is for all skiers!  Lollipop to Masters! Join u
 s! \nThe aim for 2027 will be to provide a single winding track through 
 our historic trails outside the Tormondsen Race Trails. \nLimited lodgin
