DESCRIPTION:Registration HERE\nJoin us on Sunday\, August 9th\, 2026 for 
 the 5th annual Stratton Summit Challenge! You can race your heart out ag
 ainst the best in the world OR take your time– everyone is welcome.  If 
 you want to challenge yourself in a beautiful setting\, see where you st
 ack up against some of the top skiers in the world and support a great c
 ause\, then this is your event! The open race follows the work road from
  the base of the gondola to the top of Stratton Mountain\, 1750 vertical
  feet. \nThe race follows the work road from the base of the gondola to 
 the top of Stratton Mountain. On top\, you will get spectacular views an
 d a ride back down on the gondola. There is also a kids race that goes a
 bout 1/2 of the way up and finishes at mid-mountain. After the race\, yo
 u will have a chance to meet the USST skiers and ask questions. \nSchedu
 le: \n9:45am- Kids Race (from Base to Mid-Mountain) \n10:00 am- Open Rac
 e (from Base to Top) \n10:00am- Gondola opens\, spectators are welcome t
 o ride up for free!  You’ll want to be on the first chair to see the act
 ion.   \n11:00am to 12:00pm- Athlete meet and greet\, autographs\, poste
 rs\, prizes\, raffle awards\, Q &amp\; A \nThis event showcases the SMST
 2 team– our professional cross country ski team that lives and trains in
  the Stratton area. This team includes athletes who have earned medals a
 t World Junior Championships\, U23 World Championships\, World Champions
 hips and the Olympics.  All proceeds from the race go to the SMST2 team 
 to help them with their travel expenses throughout the season.\n\nImport
